The Regina Model Train Show starts tomorrow!!!

Held (for this year) at the Saskatchewan Science Centre, the show runs during the operational hours of the centre itself.  Admission to the Science Centre should give you admission to the show!

Due to the limited nature of the space, we will be offereing a 12'x12' layout with train track running through various terrain and themes!  We'll also have a couple other creations on hand that don't quite fit into the layout (scale-wise, not awesome-wise!)....

Moose Jaw Train Show vs. Weather

Posted by adam dodge on Saturday, March 23, 2013, In : Show Info
It is with great disappointment that we've had to pull out of this years Thunder Creek Model Train Show in Moose Jaw.  It is being held this weekend at the Western Development Museum and since we've been attending, has become one of our favourite shows.

Our reasons for not going are due to the weather.  Over the past week the province has been hit with a great deal of snow and wind which has made parts of the trans-Canada highway (the main route from Regina to Moose Jaw) near-impassable.

Due to events out of our control, the Regina Model Train Show has been cancelled for this year.

The reasons for this have not been explained to us fully at this time.  The group that organizes the show, the Regina Model Railroaders, hope to have things in place for a show next year.  A new venue has been suggested for next year's show.

We are disappointed that we will be unable to showcase our work in Regina this fall.  Our next scheduled show is not until February 2013 in Saskatoon, but hopefu...

As well, we were...

Regina Train Show - postgame

Posted by adam dodge on Monday, October 17, 2011, In : Show Info
Best.  Show.  Ever.

Without a doubt, this past show was our best to date!  Not only did we have more of our own members in attendance (8), but we were all able to hang around our largest layout to date!

The over 200 square feet came together nicely when set-up, with only one small hiccup.  Each table blended well into the next, yet showed off the diverse building talents of ever memeber of our group.  We recieved many comments about the build from other attendees and the public.  Overall, it wa...
